Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about establishing, contributing to and tracking a waqf with us.

Home / FAQs
What is the minimum amount to establish a waqf?

There is no fixed minimum — you can establish a waqf with a property, land, business or cash contribution, or join an existing waqf through waqf shares.

Can I choose what my waqf funds?

Yes. You define the purpose — one of our ten sectors — when the waqf is established, and returns are directed there for as long as the waqf exists.

Is the underlying asset ever spent?

No. The corpus of a waqf is preserved permanently under Sharia principles; only the income it generates is distributed.

How is my waqf reported to me?

You receive access to our impact reporting, showing your waqf's asset value, returns distributed and beneficiaries reached, alongside our independently audited annual report.

Who approves each waqf structure?

An independent Sharia board reviews and approves every waqf structure before it is established.

Can a waqf be established after death, through a will?

Yes, waqf can be established as part of estate planning; speak to our team for guidance on structuring a bequest.
